Fake product variations without sub-products for epages base

The "Fake product variations" function allows you to create variations without creating sub-products in your epages shop.

Too many variation products in your epages base shop?

For each variation combination, epages creates a sub-product. This leads to a high number of variations, especially for products with many variation attributes and many option values, even if the price remains unchanged. This increases the complexity of product maintenance and makes it confusing.

And in some cases, the allowed number of variations is not enough.

Variations without variation products

The "Fake product variations" function allows you to create variations without creating sub-products in your epages shop.

This reduces the number of variation products and simplifies product maintenance. It also allows to exceed the limited number of variations of the epages shops.

Therefore, this is particularly useful for products where the variation does not affect stock levels, e.g. when dealing with mounting options such as the positioning of a door handle on refrigerators or washing machines.

The advantages of "fake product variations"

These are the advantages of the "fake product variations":

• Theoretically unlimited number of variations
• The number of sub-products of the epages variations is kept to a minimum
• After selection, the product page is not reloaded
• An image designated for the variation is displayed
• Visually, the fake product variations are identical for the customer
• In the shopping cart, in the checkout and on the order page, the picture can be shown for the variation.
• The customer can order products with different fake variations.

The implementation takes place within 7 working days after the order has been placed.

Visually, the integration of the fake product variations is identical to the original variations. After selecting an option, the page is not reloaded but remains unchanged. The image intended for the variation is displayed.

Versions

You can opt for a simple implementation with up to 3 attributes and 10 values each defined during implementation and a version where you can create any attributes and values. Among the variations of this product, both options are present.

Desktop and mobile versions

If this function is installed, it is available on the desktop version and the mobile version created by Viamodul, and also on the tablet representation.
An installation on the epages mobile version is also available. Among the variations this option is present.
